Charlotte, NC Commercial Photographer - Mi Pueblo Grill - Food and lifestyle photography.

Recently, I started working with a great new client in Charlotte, North Carolina: Mi Pueblo Grill. This fantastic Mexican restaurant chain is an area favorite, and they wanted images to showcase their food and restaurant experience. Since I am working between western North Carolina and Florida, I was more than happy to come over from Asheville and photograph images for the new website they will launch any day! We spent the first part of the morning working on some lifestyle images for the website. After the main restaurant opened for lunch, I worked with the head chef and the staff on styling the food and creating photographs that captured the essence of this delicious menu. Below are a few lifestyle and food photos from this shoot at the main store in Charlotte.

I am a commercial photographer that loves food and lifestyle photography. I enjoy food styling and working closely with chefs and restaurant owners to create dynamic images that look delicious; this can sometimes be challenging because so many foods look funky quickly, for instance, cheese, it clarifies fast and looks greasy in photos. Mexican food is so good, and I love the sauces and cheeses, but to create images that do the menu justice, I had to work fast and use some food styling tricks I have picked up over the years. This was a small-budget shoot, so we weren't spending hours or days on each item and working with real food.
